NJ Taxpayers Will Pay For Christie’s Troopers

Posted by | July 3, 2015 20:00 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

Chris Christie reasons that the troopers have to go wherever he goes anyway, so he won’t be reimbursing the state for his campaign travels.

“In the end anywhere I go the troopers need to go whether I want them to go or not so we’re going to continue to conduct this in the same way I’ve always conducted it,” Christie said this morning when asked about the costs outside MaryAnn’s Diner.

Christie has maintained that he is following the same policies of other governors by not reimbursing the state for security costs. However Christie is the first New Jersey governor since Woodrow Wilson to launch a presidential campaign. And he’s spent significantly more time outside the state – more than 200 days since the start of last year – than many of his predecessors.

Christie is nothing but a joke. He couldn’t get reelected in NJ let alone the US.

Just like out (un)beloved Piyush…even die hard Republicans are avoiding him in droves.

I almost forgot about Bobby “the exorcist” Jindal…he’s funny

        • nola878 July 3rd, 2015 at 22:22

          He’s funny alright…unless you live here…then he’s a destructive force.

May he never be unleashed upon the nation!

I’m in the same boat over here on Florida…at least you don’t have the biggest criminal in American history as your governor.
Rick Scott will probably run in 2020, it just seems to be the pattern

As part of the budget, the Louisiana legislature included a provision that Piyush would have to pay for State Police details while campaigning. Of course, he vetoed it.

Funny how people like Christie and Jindal are always bitching that people should pay their own way in the world, yet want others to pick up the tab for their Quixotic quests.

ps…Jindal spent 200 days outside of Louisiana in 2014.

He’s actually gravity/mass impaired. You can tell by the few small mindless things around him trying to achieve orbit.

    What an ass…

    …but that’s nothing new.

Yea, but a lot of it. He even puts the Kardashians to shame on size.

I don’t comment on his weight… it has nothing to do with his attitude, behavior or politics.
And it just cheapens any legitimate issues we bring up.

Not to mention, as far as I see it, the group I belong to (progressive, liberal, Democrat) are against bullying and shaming people for how they’re born or life choices they make.
It doesn’t matter how crappy someone is, we should never lower ourselves to that level.
Not if we believe in our values.

What you say is very true and honorable. But, this man is putting himself out in front of the public as a serious contender for the President of the U.S. Now it has been widely reported that he had surgery to help control his weight, obviously it failed. I also have a weight issue, all though it is no where near as bad as his. If he expects to be seriously considered, then he also needs to demonstrate that he can control his own issues first. He needs to show at least an attempt at being jn control of himself before we consider giving him control of our nation. Right now, his only hope in winning would be to have a fantastic backup VP as his life expectancy is in jeopardy.

          • Kick Frenzy July 5th, 2015 at 14:16

He did put some weight back on, but he’s still nowhere near as heavy as he used to be.
Considering his ability to control his personal health does have some merit to it.

But poking fun at him for his weight is still hypocritical of us to engage in.
If we’re against fat shaming and bullying, that means for everyone.
A socio-political position only counts if it holds the same course regardless of the subject.

In his case, the implicated health concerns are the most glaring. He is running for the Highest and most Controlling office in our country. Yes, political pundits about any ones weight problem is socially incorrect. I am definitely overweight myself. I have found a way to prevent my doctor from hounding me about my weight thought. My doctor is heavier than I am. End of discussion there. I know only too well how hard it is to over come genetic weight problems. But, I have to keep trying if I want to live. He has to keep trying if he wants to live to be our President. Also, he is not the only one out there that is being hounded by the opposition on none sense matters. I did like him until I got to know some things about him. He is just not the type that I want in the White House. I am looking at other options.

I thought he was going to be a good no-nonsense governor… until he was in office, then it became all to clear what a self-centered, uncaring, corrupt waste of the space-time continuum he is.

But, as for weight… going forward, just remember… saying “Ha! He’s fat!” discredits the argument about his health being an actual issue and just brings it down to the level of a bully whose words hold no weight themselves.

Y’all liberals do realize, do you not, that your “media” has become exactly like right-wing media, yes?

Grifter Christie’s 30% approval in N.J. proves he can’t even win N.J. Bridgegate, dining on taxpayers $300,000, 49th worst jobs creation, and 9 credit downgrades left him unable to carry his own state. What a record of failures.
