The lead nincompoop of the religious right, Rick Santorum believes he has the cure to what ails America. Bibles. If only the evil left wasn’t so powerful and did away with the good book, gays would still be in their closets. As a Pastafarian, I’m going to have to insist that a can of Chef Boyardee are in every student’s desk next to the Bibles.

“The left cannot be successful in a country of God-given rights.”
I just can’t seem to find any reference to the Bill of rights in my Bible. Old frothy needs to learn the difference.

You also won’t see any reference to the bible in the Bill of Rights. Something the extremist right doesn’t seem to get.

Although Santorum appears to believe otherwise, the United States is not a Christian theocracy. No religion shall be permitted to proselytize from the public school lectern.

He and the other brainwashed cretins are trying their best to make it one. They honestly believe what they spew. They’d have fit right in with the Inquisition.

“Why are Bibles no longer in public schools? Don’t give me the Supreme Court.”, aside from the fact that the right owns the Supreme Court, not even they are going to shred the 1st Amendment to suit your little religious indoctrination scheme. Oh, go to Iran, among other nations with a religious theocracy, if that’s how you want to live.

    • Larry Schmitt March 17th, 2015 at 08:40

The Supreme Court is the precise reason there are no bibles in public schools. They made a decision, and it’s the law. That’s how it works in this country. You can’t pick and choose the laws you want to obey. If you want to try to change the law, fine. But until then, it’s the law. His “don’t give me the Supreme Court” proves he has no clue.

This guy is crazy. He thinks he can hear God just like his right wing friends and they have the God-given right to rule.

Sanitarium said: “”The left cannot be successful in a country of God-given rights,” he
said. “It can’t. Because they want to be the purveyor of rights, and if
God is the purveyor of rights, then they lose.””

    Not bloody true!

Where was God during Republican presidencies’ failures? God must have been present during the Democrat presidencies as they always make the country successful.

Everyone should say ‘So help me God’ when repukes/teabaggers are around.

Since it’s largely fiction, there shouldn’t be any bibles in the classroom.
As it is, every school has bibles in the library. Those children whose parents want to be ‘bible literate’ can teach them at home.

hey, thebible kooks at least have bibles in drawers next to beds in cheap motels (hourly) and also cheap motels nightly – drop in for a quick verse or stay for an entire chapter.

Sounds like he is channeling the same desperation as bibi.

  9. Larry Schmitt March 17th, 2015 at 07:51

Definitely put bibles in schools. As long as it’s a history of religions class.

    • Larry Schmitt March 17th, 2015 at 08:49

And also the Koran, and the Book of Mormon, and every other religious text, in the same class. But that would make their heads explode.
