ISIS Executes Gay Men, Stones Adulterers

One has to wonder if Biblical fundamentals would approve.

These are obscene images. They depict two men thrown from the roof of a building as a crowd watches them fall to their deaths, and they purport to show the Islamic State (or ISIS) carrying out public executions before an audience in Iraq’s Nineveh province.

The two victims’ alleged crimes? They are believed to be gay. In another photo, [a] woman accused of being an adulterer is stoned to death, and two men charged with thievery are bound to crucifixes. Victims are commonly crucified, sometimes after they have been killed, in ISIS public executions.

ISIS-affiliated social media feeds began spreading the images Thursday. Those accounts linked to a justpasteit.com file attributed to the “Information Office of the mandate of Nineveh,” an apparent propaganda arm tied to Islamic state press releases. The public executions appear to have taken place in Mosul, the capital of the Islamic State and Iraq’s second largest city sits in Nineveh province.

The image above is one of the most disturbing I have ever seen. When I first saw it I became the deer in the headlights, immobilzed by terror, for several seconds before I regained composure. I had to take a break.

    OK, that’s better.

It seems clear to me this has nothing to do with any religion, although it is also clear this is evil, incarnate. Be assured these terrorist now running the show in Mosul will not prevail for long. The Iraqis want a secular state, they will not tolerate this cancer upon their body-politic. At last count I believe there were 22 nations, including France and Saudi Arabia, who are actively in support of the Iraqi government’s efforts to kill this murderous gang and reclaim its second-largest city, along with some 20 million hostages.

      Well said.
These are evil people seeking power. They use faith as a fig leaf.
I agree with you on Iraq, too.
While we killed Zarqawi and al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) was pretty much destroyed, a great deal of that effort came fro Iraqis.
AQI was opposed by Iraqis because of the ultra-violent things they did and we are seeing ISIS making the same mistake
