McDonnell Children Blame Mom For Former Virginia Governor’s Downfall

The former Virginia Governor’s children are standing behind their father, while tossing Mom under the bus.

Former Gov. Bob McDonnell’s children are blaming their father’s downfall and conviction  on one person — their mother.

Seriously? What ever happened to the party of personal responsibility? It appears that Mrs. McDonnell is being probed by her own children. The couple were both grifting but no one forced that Rolex on the Governor’s wrist.

NBC 12 reports:

The children recently wrote a blunt letter to a federal judge, saying that former First Lady Maureen McDonnell’s materialism and mental health issues derailed her husband’s career.

The letters of support from the McDonnell children are part of a large collection put together by Bob McDonnell’s attorneys, who are seeking leniency at the upcoming sentencing set for Jan. 6.

Earlier this month, the former Governor’s son, Robert McDonnell, was arrested on a DWI charge.

Hmph! None of the kids were pointing fingers at either parent when they were enjoying the beneifts Jonnie Williams provided to them. If they thought their mom was acting inappropriately when she cozied up to Williams, they should have spoken out loudly at that time. Imo, their blaming her for their dad’s downfall now is an example of too little, too late.

McDonnell has no one to blame but himself. He was offered a plea, his lawyers advised him to take it, he would have got a light sentence, his wife would have gone free, but he thought he knew better, so now he has a few years in pound-me-in-the-ass prison. (I love me some Office Space references)

he’ll be in protective custody. sigh. but, the upside is, he’ll hear the slamming of the iron bars, being told when he can shower, walk outside, etc. for a long time. oh yeah, and no steaks. lol

And no Rolexes or fancy cars to ‘borrow’ either!! I’m weeping with delight here.

And those ungrateful brats prolly think Daddy will leave them money whereas Mommy has none. Follow the money!
