Misogynist With An Arrest Record Nominated For Texan Of The Year

C.J. Grisham, leader of Open Carry Texas, a misogynist with an arrest record, has been deemed as a finalist by The Dallas Morning News for their “Texan of the Year.”

Mr. Grisham has an arrest record and a history of using misogynistic language against women working to reduce gun violence. For example, he has referred to Moms Demand Action members as “thugs with jugs.”

Grisham has been outspoken in his disdain for law enforcement in the state, although lately, he’s feigning to have good relations with the police department even though he has mocked them on more than one occasion.

Let’s look at that.

Mr. Grisham reenacted his version of his arrest with him playing the role of police officer and his wife playing C.J. Or something. At any rate, this is the image Grisham posted for Halloween.

Imagine if Bill de Blasio posted that image.

This is Mr. Grisham menacing shoppers at Houston’s Galleria with an openly carried plastic gun in order to draw attention to himself on the day he was a featured speaker at local meeting of the John Birch Society. (By the way, when it was called to Grisham’s attention that I wrote in a post that he was a speaker for the John Birch Society, he called me “the biggest liar on the Internet” until I tweeted an image of him — wait for it — speaking at a JBS meeting. He suddenly went quiet.

Grisham thinks former Mayor Michael Bloomberg is literally Hitler. He replaced Bloomberg’s picture with Hitler’s image, because Godwin.

This is Grisham looking like a totally responsible gun owner.

Ah yes, here’s another fine moment in Grisham’s life. As it happens, Ms. Watts’ use of an image of Kory Watkins from the group Open Carry Tarrant County as a warning was prophetic. A member of Kory’s group was recently arrested in the shooting death of her husband and stepdaughter.

In this tweet Grisham makes reference to the event last November in Arlington, Texas in which armed members of his group gathered in parking lot outside of a Moms Demand Action meeting to menace the women and customers inside.

His remarks were followed by a link to one of the many national news stories about his group’s behavior.

The following is a tweet and a Facebook post referring to the article published in Newsweek where he refers to members of the gun violence prevention group as “Thugs with Jugs”:

Grisham thinks Moms Demand Action members should be arrested. Can you say FEMA camps?

An article from Mother Jones outlines Mr. Grisham’s threatening behavior towards women.

Here is Open Carry Texas spreading the holiday spirit.

Yet, the Dallas Morning News is considering C.J. Grisham for “Texan Of the Year.”  It makes one wonder what sort of choices they had to begin with. Grisham is an Open Carry extremist, a featured speaker for the John Birch Society and a noted misogynist. Is that the best they can do? Are there no other Texans more deserving of the title? That’s it?

Big thanks to my pal out there for collecting the images and links.

All images were obtained on social media thereby making them fair use.

AH my favorite Texan CJ Grisham the man on a box. Goddamn you have zero shame nor do your kin. Someday, someday you’re really going to fuck up and I for one cannot wait. Let us hope you or you’re child gets that Christmas gun they’ve always wanted… maybe you or he will shoot their eye out?

I’m not understanding his logic. His group “stood guard”, which I’m guessing means armed, at a MDA meeting and that makes them not bullies? Why would someone need to stand guard? Are the Mom’s baking deadly cookies? NO! I know! It’s the deadly care and concern for fellow human beings who just want to buy their food or eat in a restaurant without fear that someone will flip their noodle while armed! DAMN THEM!
I would also like to know, just for shits and giggles, why someone not wanting guns in a food store equates someone who is against owning firearms? Or that the Second Amendment states clearly “well regulated” … and some other crap about Militias protecting a free state and stuff. ;-)

Charles Harrelson was unavailable for Texan of the Year, so they had to default to CJ.
