The practice squad player who joined the team on Sept. 3, spent the first seven weeks of the season on the 10-man squad and never made it to the 53-man roster.
Sam, the first openly-gay player in the NFL, was a seventh-round draft pick of the Rams. He spent all of the offseason and training camp with the St. Louis before being released and signed to the Cowboys’ practice squad.
The move opens a spot for linebacker Troy Davis, a second-year pro from Central Florida who worked out with the team on Monday.

Missouri isn’t really known for cranking out NFL ready players ( I guess its the coaching ) its even tougher when your team is in the sec conference too.

Bourgeoisie sportsball industry is behaving like a bourgeoisie sportsball industry.
If you actually wanted to put a stop to it, you’d stop supporting it.

Michael Sam’s homosexuality didnt make him any more or any less qualified, he will have to roll with the punches like everyone else.

I didn’t pass comment on how Sam’s sexual orientation pertained to his qualifications.

You didnt have to, his status or who he was, as pertaining to why this made the news is all that was needed. Ergo, if he was straight and got cut from “any teams practice squad” it would not have made this blog much less the front page of any sports section. How many practice squad subtractions from any of the 32 NFL teams has Colmes mentioned? That all being said, Michael Sam crossed a barrier and made a small step, lets hope the media doesnt over-hype the next case.

Then you probably should have made that comment to the thread, and not to me, because I said *nothing* about that.
