5-Day-Old Baby ‘Accidentally’ Shot In The Head By Hunters
A stray bullet grazed the head of a 5-day-old infant in what officials in Pennsylvania are describing as a hunting accident. The father of the infant was holding his newborn baby when the bullet tore through a window in the home.
District Attorney Pat Dougherty said the infant’s father had been sitting on a couch holding the infant when the bullet plowed through the window of the home.
According to Dougherty, the bullet is believed to have come from hunters on private property across the street and he added that they had permission to be there.
The child was taken to a children’s hospital. The baby’s condition is not known at this time.
State police are investigating, but Dougherty said the incident “appears to be an accidental shooting.”

Permission or not there is a minimum distance from a dwelling restriction for hunting. Also there’s such a thing as knowing what’s beyond your target.

there are proper places to go hunting waayyyyy out no where near the cities. aside from that, shouldn’t you only shoot when you have a target sight.

Turns out the infant was injured worse than 1st reported, a .308 is used for deer or bear and has an effective range of about 300 yards.
