5 Whole Texas Border Protesters Showed Up To Shut Down The Bridges

Posted by | September 20, 2014 21:37 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Top Stories

The rally to shut down various ports of entry across the Texas-Mexico border brought in fives of people. There were at least 5 whole guys in Pharr, Texas colluding to shut the bridges down.

According to Breitbart Texas, one of the event’s organizers claimed that the group had received cartel threats, but that’s not confirmed at all. Also, too, it seems unlikely.

Ron Cupp, the founder of the event was present. So there five old dudes there, including the founder. I’m not really trying to rub that in (I am trying to rub that in).

So now they have another super sneaky idea. Those five dudes protesting hatched another plan. Their objective is now to see how many law enforcement officials and resources they can tie up by having the authorities watch them. You see, if border security is watching them, the authorities who are paid to keep an eye on the border, can’t, so that makes total sense, right? RIGHT?

It seems their nefarious plan worked. Federal and local law enforcement was tied up for hours at the scene. A Department of Public Safety (DPS) helicopter that was assigned to Operation Strong Safety, Texas DPS personnel, and dozens of Pharr employees spent over two hours ensuring the safety of everyone present, according to Breitbart.

Local officials said they had advised the protesters (all 5 of ’em) that if they block the road they will be arrested for a Class B misdemeanor.

A Breitbart Texas political contributor who was at the scene said, “I was dismayed that people who are pledged to increasing border security would brag about taking resources away from border security.”

IKR? And if they closed down the bridges, that would suck resources from border security as well. Also, 2+2=4 and water is wet.

I’m guessing that the rest of the missing throngs of fringer’s went to the open carry babe-a-thon hoping to get a date.

…or spent the day in their bark-a-lounger drinking beer, eating pork rinds and watching football. Watching football makes them feel tough.

      • tiredoftea September 20th, 2014 at 22:42

Holstered up and fondling their rifles for good measure.

Me too! it’s been a long day. Cookies and chuckles are in order. Whack-a-troll is hard work–

I came across an image of an ammosexual guy awhile back–hairy, obese, and wearing only tightie whities, bandoleers and a “come hither” look–sprawled across a bed, surrounded by assault-style rifles and assorted pistols and boxes of ammo. I think I could probably pick him out of a line-up, even fully clothed. Some pictures should come with a warning.

These loons should’ve contacted Chris Christie’s aides for advice on closing bridges.

These ‘free teabagging’ events seem to have Tucker’ed out all the Carlson’s.

    • Skydog2 September 21st, 2014 at 04:49

We are told to not judge all Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics. But on the other hand, we are also encouraged to judge all tea partiers by the actions of a few lunatics. Now, just how is that supposed to work??????

      • Carla Akins September 21st, 2014 at 06:12

Proportionately, the Tea Party has a higher loon per capita than most groups.

      • Obewon September 21st, 2014 at 06:16

Based on Interpol’s facts 99.7% of Muslims aren’t terrorists. The converse is true of TP having just 15% approval today. Even just 32% of GOP approve of the 95% Tea Klan. Are birthers Ben Carson & Allen West sane? Nope!

        • Skydog2 September 21st, 2014 at 09:26

We can agree to disagree if you want to call a group a people who want smaller govt, less taxes lunatics. But when you call them white tea klan then your racism is shining through.

          • Obewon September 21st, 2014 at 10:37

John Birch Koch bros funded & founded TP are well proven constitutionally illiterate xenophobic racists who are functionally illiterate hypocrites campaigning to ‘take our country back to GWB & Cheney’s record low everything since (R) Hoover’s Great Depression.’ Tea Party Racists are endemic. Every Muslim I’ve ever met has been a decent human being while every Tea Party member I’ve met has been hateful about something and sometimes they are hateful about many things if not everything.

        • Skydog2 September 21st, 2014 at 09:29

Who needs a real analysis if you can rely on your personal hate.

You need to get out and meet more people.

      • Rusty Shackleford September 21st, 2014 at 09:47

Nah, I don’t judge teabaggers because of these nuts; I judge them because they choose to support politicians and policies that I find both irresponsible and morally reprehensible.

        • Skydog2 September 21st, 2014 at 10:41

          Teabaggers? STFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          • Rusty Shackleford September 21st, 2014 at 12:34

Why do you take offense to this term? Nothing wrong with teabagging, if that’s what you’re into.

            • Skydog2 September 21st, 2014 at 14:17

I’m not a member or a supporter of the Tea Party but find the term unnecessarily offensive. I say the same when I hear people use the N word.

              • Rusty Shackleford September 21st, 2014 at 14:28

That’s not even remotely an answer to my question. To compare it to the N-word would imply that the word has a long and lurid history of systemic and institutionalized oppression and dehumanization. Am I missing some sort of historical context here?

Why is it offensive? What’s so wrong with teabagging, if that’s what you’re into? I respect the privacy and rights of consenting adults in their sexual escapades.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
    ― Margaret Mead

But that door swings both ways, and the “change” isn’t necessarily for the better… As I recall the brutal Zeta cartel was started by a handful of ex-officers from an elite Mexican military drug unit. Today they and their many affiliates control vast areas along the border in Northern Mexico and run a bustling trafficking organization specializing in narco-terrorism. It’s also been reported in the past that traffickers often post “spotters” who do direct shipments to a specific Border Patrol agent who’s been expecting you, and a nice payoff. I can’t repeat this enough, on the Border you can’t trust anyone!

This reminds me of the million truck protest that was going to clog up the beltway, cripple Washington DC and force President Obama to resign.

if the cartels took these dopes seriously it would be a short short demo – but the cartels, if they even care, are just laughing.

I’m not sure, but if you begin with a premise like “Obama is going to take all your guns” you’ll be headed toward the solution.
