Bloody Hell: Urban Outfitters Selling ‘Vintage’ Red-Stained Kent State Sweatshirt
The “vintage Kent State” sweatshirt with red blotches is for sale in the women’s section of the Urban Outfitters’ website. It must have been in high demand because it’s sold out, according to Buzzfeed.
Twitter users blasted the company for its insensitivity in selling an item citing a university nationally known as the site of the May 4, 1970 deaths of four students by the Ohio National Guard during Vietnam War protests, Cleveland.com reports.
And it’s now being sold on Ebay for a $550 opening bid or a ‘buy it now’ price of $2,500.
Murica!
