‘The United States Is Appalled’

Those are the words of U.S. State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki about Israel’s latest shelling of a United Nations Relief and Works Agency facility.

“The United States is appalled,” State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said in a statement on Sunday. “The coordinates of the school, like all UN facilities in Gaza, have been repeatedly communicated to the Israeli Defense Forces.”

Ten civilians, including children, reportedly died from the attack, which hit just outside a school in Rafah sheltering over 3,000 displaced Palestinians.

“Israel must do more to meet its own standards and avoid civilian casualties,” Psaki continued. “The suspicion that militants are operating nearby does not justify strikes that put at risk the lives of so many innocent civilians.”

The language used by Israel to justify their genocide against the Palestinians is incredibly similar to the verbiage used by Bull Connor, George Wallace and the racists who opposed the Civil Rights protestors in the “50’s and ’60’s. In each case, the speakers attempt to liken their opponents to animals, savages, and worse, all in an attempt to dehumanize them. It’s past time for Israel to have all US aid cut off, and if Israel needs cash, each and every US citizen who claims to support them should open their checkbook and pony up. Or…go to Israel and sign up to do their slaughter for them.
