Ban Ki-Moon: Israel Attack On School a ‘Moral Outrage…Criminal Act’

The UN secretary general says Israel’s attack on a Gaza school is a “moral outrage” and “a criminal act.”

At least seven people were killed and dozens more wounded after a projectile struck a street outside the school gateson Sunday morning.

The school was sheltering more than 3,000 people displaced by fighting in the area. It has been the scene of heavy bombardment by the Israeli military and fierce clashes following the suspected capture by Hamas fighters of an Israeli soldier, later declared killed in action.

In a statement, Ban called on those responsible for the “gross violation of international humanitarian law” to be held accountable. He said the “Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have been repeatedly informed of the location of these sites.”…

The UN has said 460,000 people had been displaced by the fighting – nearly a quarter of Gaza’s population. Doctors say they are running short of medicine and that, after nearly four weeks of conflict, the health system is breaking down.

“We have three or four patients to a room, with open wounds, in August,” said one surgeon at the al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City.

Time for Israel to stand or fall on it’s own. No more us aid. If Israel’s supporters REALLY want to help them, get your checkbooks out and do so. There is NO REASON for the USA to fund Israel for a second longer. If Israel cannot stand without the crutch of US aid, it is no skin off the ass of the world. Nations have come and gone for centuries. If Israel goes into the dustbin of history, it will be because of their own doing.

Israel is the only faithful ally we have in the middle east. We need to stand with them and their struggle against their enemies. Instead of Israel, would you prefer to have more countries and people like those who occupy Iran, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan or any of the others in the region? Israel is not threatening to attack the US like those other countries would if given the chance.

How about the latest news out of North Korea. A high ranking North Korean official, Hwang Pyong-So, recently declared:

“If the US imperialists threaten our sovereignty and survival… our troops will fire our nuclear-armed rockets at the White House and the Pentagon – the sources of all evil.”

If that should happen and we respond as Israel did when they were attacked, would it upset you if the world opinion said we overreacted?

All aid to Israel should be cut off immediately. I invite YOU to give each and every dollar you have to them. YOU should go fight for them. They are no ally…they were spying on the USA, as was revealed this week. All those, like you, who want Israel to commit genocide, should fund that genocide. The Middle East is in disarray BECAUSE of Israel, not in spite of it. We spend billions to fund their war and genocide machine, which has caused the 911 attacks and a “war on terror” costing TRILLIONS.” It;s idiotic to pretend that the world would be any worse if Israel stood on their own. Sending them 3 BILLION per year has gotten the USA NOTHING!
