But the reason he didn’t was because he would have had to destroy an entire town and kill innocent civilians.

Only 10 hours before the first plane struck the World Trade Center, Clinton explained at a conference in Melbourne that when he was President, he let the chance to kill Bin Laden pass because the operation would have also killed hundreds of innocent civilians in Afghanistan, according to a Sky News Australia report.

“I’m just saying, you know, if I were Osama Bin Laden — he’s a very smart guy, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about him — and I nearly got him once,” Clinton says on the recording of his speech. “I nearly got him. And I could have killed him, but I would have to destroy a little town called Kandahar in Afghanistan and kill 300 innocent women and children, and then I would have been no better than him.”
“And so I didn’t do it,” the former commander-in-chief adds.

Surgical strikes weren’t invented until President Obama was elected.

I’m always skeptical of statements like this. How does he “know” for sure? He would have my respect on this if he had just left it at: ‘a high probability’ or ‘very possible’. Sorry Big Dog, I like you but I have to call bullshit & bluster for what it is.

In December 2001, just 3 months after 9/11/01 bin Laden was let go at Tora Bora by surrounding OBL on just 3 sides after reinforcements were refused. In May, 2011 bin Laden was captured just 200 miles away at Abbottabad.

Exactly, their was no faith in out troops at that time, the leadership treated the military as if they were a bunch of stooges. There were multiple times we could of gotten OBL but the okay wasn’t given from the top. This has been shown in multiple stories and told by quite a few troops who were active at the time.
