The United States Senate today confirmed Shaun Donovan to be the next director of the Office of Management and Budget. In a 75-22 vote the Senate made the current Housing and Urban Development the new Budget Director after having confirmed San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro On Wednesday to replace Donovan at HUD.

In his time at HUD Donovan earned a reputation as an out going and internet savvy spokesman for the Obama administration on housing issues. His recent contribution on Buzz Feed, 10 Reasons Why Homeownership Never Goes Out Of Style, replete with funny animated gifs and jokey headlines, was a big hit in the Real Estate Sellers community.

Hopefully, he can bring some of that humor to the traditionally more dull department of OMB. The place needs a bit of livening up. Perhaps a Buzz Feed top 10 list for upcoming spending cuts required by the sequester is in the near future?

Yeah, what’s he gonna do when the OMB has a scandal? There won’t be a white woman to throw under the bus.
