Gays Have Have Right To Marry In Kentucky, Rules Judge

A federal judge in Kentucky says gays have the right to marry there.

“In America, even sincere and long-hold religious beliefs do not trump the constitutional rights of those who happen to have been out-voted,” U.S. District Judge John G. Heyburn II wrote, invalidating Kentucky’s constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.

Heyburn held in February that Kentucky must recognize gay marriages performed in other states.

Heyburn put his ruling today on hold, staying it pending the outcome of several gay marriage cases at the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals.

So you are telling me gays will be allowed to get married in Kentucky before they legalize women being able to buy a hat without their husband’s permission, fishing with a bow and arrow and dying baby chicks blue and offering them for sale (unless there are at least 6 of them)? Sounds to me like that is a state that is pretty selective about just who gets civil rights!

The SC just ruled that your incorrect pseudo religious belief can be used as a reason to deny healthcare to employees of a corp. you happen to own. It won’t be long before the same idiots rule that factually incorrect beliefs about gay marriage are a satisfactory reason to deny gay people the equal right to marry.

    We live in derpy times.

There’s good news and bad news in this. The good news – one more state that has approved gay marriage. The bad news – living in Kentucky.
