It’s important for George Zimmerman to stay in the limelight and to have a good image while doing so. Otherwise, why would he and his divorce lawyers release a video trying to clean up his image.

The 22-minute long film, produced by the Law Firm of Ayo and Iken, shows Zimmerman talking to a camera, hoping to “show America who I truly am.” An off-camera voice asks him to clarify questions about his ethnic make-up, his personal life, and his past good deeds.

Zimmerman describes how he once mentored a young black boy; recalls an experience from his time behind bars; and admits that he fears for his life following last summer’s controversial second-degree murder trial.

The video is meant to “represent a view [of Zimmerman] that is unfiltered by the media.”
