It seems a 33-year-old nun
has broken her vow of chastity. Last week Sister Roxana Rodriguez gave birth to a baby boy in Italy’s central city of Rieti, naming him Francesco after the current pope. Reportedly unaware of her pregnancy, she was rushed to the hospital late last Tuesday after extreme stomach pains. Italian press reports that when doctors informed Rodriguez of her pregnancy, she replied, “It’s not possible, I am a nun.” Unless proven to be a virgin birth, Rodriguez will be expected to leave the “Little Disciples of Jesus” convent to raise her child.
