CNN Poll: Majority Now In Favor Of Obamacare

Remember all the ACA naysayers whose only substantive reference against the law was its grinding ‘unpopularity’ in the polls?

They’ll have to find another horse to ride.

CNN is out today with a detailed poll on a variety of issues — the shutdown damage toll, among others — and if you actually read the whole analysis you find the following:

According to the poll, just more than four in 10 say they favor the law, with 56% opposed to it.

But of those opposed, 38% say they are against the law because they think it’s too liberal and 12% say it’s not liberal enough.

That means that 53% either support Obamacare, or say it’s not liberal enough.

Lesson to pollsters: when you’re counting ‘opposition’ to something, add a category for ‘I support it, but it’s not perfect yet’. Suddenly the media headlines will change, as will political winds that feed off of those headlines.
