Schwarzenegger May Be Back, This Time For President

Bloggeristas are vibrating this morning with the hard rumor that Arnold Schwarzenegger, former Governor of California and accomplished thespian, may attempt to amend the Constitution to allow cyborgs to run for high office.

Iron Man, Padme Amidala and Lieutenant Commander Data, while not available in this dimension to comment, are presumed to be gratified.

Ahnuld has flirted publicly with this before:

In 2010, he appeared on the ‘Tonight Show,’ and was asked by Jay Leno if he would make a White House run if the law were changed.

Schwarzenegger replied, “Without any doubt.”

And if that’s not enough:

While Arnold’s rep didn’t respond to us, even Mayor Mike Bloomberg has spoken playfully about forming a presidential ticket with Schwarzenegger.

“There would be a fight to see who would be the presidential candidate and who would be the vice presidential candidate,” Bloomberg quipped a few years back. “He would want to arm-wrestle for the top spot; I would want to check the Constitution.”

Just go with this concept for a moment. Picture: Arnold debates Rick Santorum. Arnold debates Bobby Jindal.

Arnold debates Hillary Clinton.

No further thoughts are necessary.
