Air Pollution a Leading Cause of Cancer

According to a World Health Organization report released today, air pollution is not just a hazard to your overall health; it’s a leading cause of human cancer.

That includes the obvious strain — lung cancer — but also includes bladder cancer.

The leading causes of air pollution, on a global basis, are:

1. Transportation

2. Power generation

3. Factory and farm emissions

4. Residential heating and cooking

So, it’s not too much to say that, on the evidence, the air we breathe is carcinogenic.
