Irony Of The Week: NRA Accuses Democrats Of Using Newtown To Push Anti-Gun Agenda

We know the NRA would never do this, right?

National Rifle Association executive director Chris W. Cox drew a line in the sand during the gun rights group’s annual convention in Houston on Friday. ‘Where we see tragedy, Barack Obama and Michael Bloomberg see opportunity,’ he said.

‘While we pray’ after gun-related disasters, he said, ‘they rush to the microphones and cameras, and scheme about how to use that tragedy to push their political agenda.’

Legislators and their ‘billionaire supporters,’ Cox added in a clear reference to Bloomberg, New York City’s anti-gun mayor, ‘attack us, ridicule us, and worst of all, blame us for the acts of deranged criminals and madmen.’
