Ex-Congressmen Looking Into UFO’s

Three Democrats and Two Republicans don’t think lawmakers have done enough to look into extraterrestrial life, and so they plan to do so.

“The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure of an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race will attempt to accomplish what the Congress has failed to do for forty-five years – seek out the facts surrounding the most important issue of this or any other time,” the group said in a statement.

The five days of hearings will take evidence from 40 witnesses in Washington and be designed to mimic the format of a Congressional hearing.

The group said that because of the “global implications of the issue” it would livestream proceedings in English, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese and Mandarin. “This represents approximately one half of the world’s population.”

Among the group is former senator Mike Gravel of Alaska, an 82-year-old who ran against Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in the 2008 Democratic primary but left the Democratic Party in disgust soon after to become a Libertarian.
