Evangelical Professor Claims Atheists Are Trying To Complete What Al Qaeda Started On 9/11

Shawn Akers, speaking on Matt Staver’s radio show, was responding to a lawsuit by two atheists trying to stop a pair of beams that look like a cross from being included in a 9/11 memorial.

…with Akers calling it “religious McCarthyism” and saying that it is ironic that “extremists from a particular religion brought down the Twin Towers, but the atheists are coming in to finish the job.”
