William Shatner Blasts IRS Star Trek Parody

The IRS says producing this video saved money on training costs. William Shatner says it’s a waste of taxpayer dollars.

“So I watched that IRS video,” Shatner, who played Captain Kirk on the show, tweeted on Monday. “I am appalled at the utter waste of US tax dollars.”

…The IRS told CBS News that the six-minute video, along with another one based on “Gilligan’s Island,” cost “about $60,000 dollars” to produce.
