Dad Leaves 2-Year-Old In Cold Car To Go To Strip Club
The LAPD says the father allegedly went to a strip club to drink while his 2-year-old daughter was left in a cold car.
According to KTLA News, 911 dispatchers got a call just after midnight that the toddler was locked in the truck outside the 7557 Club on Woodley Avenue. Officials said the temperature in the truck was about 45 degrees.
Officers arrived at the location to find the man asleep with the child in the back seat of the Toyota pickup, authorities said.
Barillas was taken into custody and representatives of the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services were called to assist with the care of the little girl, officials said.
Investigators interviewed several bar patrons and workers who confirmed the man was inside the club without the child, police said. The suspect was allegedly intoxicated at the time of his arrest, officials said.
