News Anchor Charged With Violently Choking Wife

A New York news anchor, Rob Morrison of WCBS-TV, was arrested after allegedly choking his wife.

The accused wife-choker, “while being processed, made verbal threats to do his wife additional harm, which were overheard by arresting officers,” police said. Ashley Morrison didn’t request medical attention, cops said.

A mug shot posted online by the Darien Times newspaper shows Rob Morrison smirking in a hooded sweatshirt with blood on his nose and a bruised lip.

The Massachusetts native was charged with strangulation in the second degree, threatening in the second degree and disorderly conduct, police said Monday.
