Alabama Teacher Suspended For Saying ‘Fatt Butt Michelle Obama’ And ‘I Don’t Believe In Queers’

High School teacher and coach Bob Grisham is suspended.

…Grisham, a psychology teacher at Lauderdale County High School, isn’t allowed back in the classroom for the rest of the year, according to The TimesDaily newspaper. But Grisham, who’s also the school’s head football coach, is only being docked 10 days from that job…

Grisham ran into trouble when a student taped remarks of his class on Jan. 27, in which he also had choice words for gays. “I don’t believe in queers,” he said, according to the newspaper. “I don’t like queers. I don’t hate them as a person, but what they do is wrong and an abomination against God.”

Lauderdale County Superintendent Jennifer Gray said the school board is “profoundly disappointed in the actions and statements of Mr. Grisham,” and that the suspension was and “specifically calculated to prevent such actions and statements from being made again.”
