Mary Kay Beckman was attacked by Wade Ridley when she broke up with him after eight days. Now she is suing match.com for not warning her about the perils of online dating.

The lawsuit, filed on Friday, is seeking $10 million in damages, alleging the company does not do enough to keep violent offenders off the website. According to Beckman, Ridley stabbed her with a butcher’s knife 10 times and stomped on her head…

Beckman was hospitalized for months after the attack. She had to undergo three head surgeries to repair her broken jaw, preserve her eyesight and remove part of her skull.

Then, less than a month after the attack, Ridley met another woman, 62-year-old Anne Marie Simenson through Match.com. He stabbed Anne Mare to death with a machete and a butcher’s knife before escaping with her car, electronics and jewelry.

Ridley committed suicide in 2012 while in prison for killing Simenson.
