Students Cheer As High School Senior Comes Out While Accepting Acting Award

Jacob Rudolph of Parsippany, NJ used the moment of his acceptance speech to say, “When most of you see me every day, you see me acting the part of ‘straight’ Jacob, when in fact I’m LGBT…Unlike the millions of LGBT teens who’ve had to act every day to avoid physical violence, I’m not going to do that anymore It’s time to end the hate in our society and accept the people for who they are.”  His fellow students cheered.
