Candidate Would Have Won If His Wife Voted

Bobby McDonald tied with Olivia Ballou with 669 votes for the Walton, KY city council. McDonald’s wife never got to the polls but would have made her husband a winner if she did.

“She feels bad enough,” McDonald said. “She worked extra hours, goes to school and we have three kids, so I don’t blame her. She woke up about ten minutes before the polls closed and asked if she should run up, but I told her I didn’t think one vote would matter.”

So the race will be decided by a coin toss.
