Rep. Roscoe Bartlett: “Not A Good Thing” That “We Drove The Mother Out Of The Home And Into The Workplace”

Maryland Congressman Roscoe Bartlett laments women in the workplace. Campaigning at Winkler Automotive Service he bemoaned two-income families, proclaiming, “This isn’t the politically correct thing to say, but when we drove the mother out of the home into the workplace and replaced her with the television set, that was not a good thing.”

The 86-year-old Republican is running for his 11th term against Democrat John K. Delaney, a Chevy Chase business owner.
