Conservatives Claim Obama Move Indoors Is Because He Can’t Fill Stadium
He was due to speak at the Carolina Panthers stadium which holds 74,000 people. Now though he will speak at the Time Warner Cable Arena, which holds slightly more than 20,000.
Speculation started Tuesday that the move might be made.
Democrats say the reason for the switch is the threat of rain on Thursday night, although some observers believe it is because the party did not want the possibility of damaging images of the president speaking before rows of empty seats.
If it does rain, which is likely, there will likely be those who won’t want to sit in a downpour. If it doesn’t rain, expect the right wing to say, “See, I told you so.”
