Update: Yup, Twitter Broke The Internets!
Here’s a brief follow-up on this post: the rocket scientists at Twitter brought a major change to the coding of their API live yesterday, and as a result, a number of social apps and add-on components for content management systems (including WordPress, which powers Liberaland) are experiencing buggy behavior, particularly in Internet Explorer. Tumblr got hosed by a cutoff of all Twitter access.
So allow me to reiterate the advice I conveyed yesterday: you can most easily solve this problem by using a browser that adheres more strictly to official Web standards such as Safari, Chrome, Firefox, or Opera.
