Romney Welcomes Birthers At Republican Convention

Mitt Romney’s Republican Party will feature those with some of the most extreme and discredited views. Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who urged President Obama to issue a detailed birth certificate, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who is facing a racial profiling lawsuit, and who spent taxpayer dollars to launch a probe into the president’s birth certificate, and Donald Trump, who continues to keep the birther nonsense alive are all featured at the upcoming Republican infomercial.

Obama/Biden National Press Secretary Ben LaBolt says, “Throughout this campaign, Governor Romney has embraced the most strident voices in his party instead of standing up to them.  It’s one thing to give the stage in Tampa to Donald Trump, Sheriff Arpaio, and Kris Kobach.  But Governor Romney’s decision to directly enlist himself in the birther movement should give pause to any rational voter across America.”
