Ohio Republican Admits His Actions Suppress The Black Vote

Doug Preisse, Franklin County Republican Chairman, voted to block Democratic efforts to expand voting hours. In an email to the Columbus Dispatch he wrote, “I guess I really actually feel we shouldn’t contort the voting process to accommodate the urban — read African-American — voter-turnout machine.”  Preisse reacted to Ohio Democratic Chairman Chris Redfern calling this unfair as “bullshit. Quote me!”
