Federal Court Allow Temporary Injunction To Colorado Company On Birth Control Mandate

Judge John Kane’s temporary injunction applies only to this one company, Hercules Industries, whose owner says providing birth control coverage violates his religious beliefs. Heath and Human Services believes exemptions like this interfere with the ability to implement the law, but the judge said, “This harm pales in comparison to the possible infringement upon (the Newland family’s) constitutional and statutory rights.”
