Rep. Allen West: Word “Progressive” Directly Related To Word “Communist”

Congressman Allen West is defending previous comments that between 78 and 81 members of the Democratic Party are members of the Communist Party.

“Well, it’s not about me trying to identify any individuals. I’m talking about principles of governance and philosophy. If you understand, when you say ‘progressives,’ that is directly related back to the term or the label ‘communist’ at the turn of the century – that was a change in marketing, if you want to call it that.”
