The announcement by the Obama administration to stop deporting young illegal immigrants who entered the United States as children if they meet certain requirements has caused Congressman Steve King to threaten a lawsuit, as he told radio host Mike Huckabee.

REP. STEVE KING: I will tell you that….I’m not without experience on this I’m prepared to bring a suit and seek court order to stop implementation of this policy. I have done it once in the past successfully when then Governor Tom Vilsack thought he could legislate by executive order and the case of King versus Vilsack is in the books and that individual is by the way is now the Secretary of Agriculture. I wonder if he’s not counseling the president on his legal proceedings.

Millions of liberals and immigration activists across the United States celebrated the perceived win in lieu of the congressional bludgeoning of the DREAM Act. Opponents like Dan Stein of Americans for Immigration Reform wasted no time in retaliating.

“This is a blatant abuse of executive power that ignores the will of Congress and the American people,” charged Stein. “The Obama administration is engaging in a shameless display of political pandering to satisfy a narrow slice of its part.”
