Late Soldier’s Father Burns State Flag To Protest Half-Mast Whitney Honor

John Burri of Kalamazoo was “outraged” that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie lowered the flag to honor Whitney Houston.

“Maybe it’s a little drastic…but I’m sorry, this is how much it hurts; this is how much a slap in the face it is to all that have served and given their life,” says Burri.

Burri’s son, Eric, was killed in Iraq in 2005 when his Humvee was hit by an IED.
