Gallup: Santorum Surges To Tie Romney

There is now a statistical tie in the race for the Republican nomination between Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum, according to Gallup. Romney is at 32% and Santorum at 30%.

Newt Gingrich, who led the field as recently as late January, is now third, favored by 16%, while Ron Paul’s support has dwindled to 8%, the lowest level yet seen for him in 2012.
