A Question For Conservatives

Have you read the Bible?

I know you speak of your Christian values, but have you really sat down and taken a glance at the Good Book?

I ask because from what I hear on the campaign trail, you may have skimmed over some of the good parts.

I know you’re too busy casting stones right now, so here’s a quick refresher course I put together just for you:

“If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” John 8:7

“Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” Mark 19:24

“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.” Matthew 5:44

“But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”Matthew 6:15

“Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:39

“If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.” Matthew 19:21

“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one or love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.” – Mark 6:24

Maybe the aforementioned, as well as a slew of other beautiful quotations, were intentionally omitted from the version of the Bible they hand out at Young Republican club meetings.

Or maybe some conservatives are just “using” Jesus to get voters inline with their greedy agendas.

Because if they were truly people of God, President Obama would never have gotten elected in the first place. He’s far too conservative.
