Jailed Ex-Congressman Tells Newt He Can Deliver The Inmate Vote

Randy “Duke” Cunningham, the former San Diego congressman doing time for fraud, says 80% of the inmates he knows would go for Newt Gingrich. Cunningham sent the former Speaker an electronic message last month.

Newt, a voice out of the past. Down but not out and still fighting. First I do not want anything from you but have been watching the debates. I have 80% of inmates that would vote for you. They might not be able to but their extended families will.

Cunningham, sometimes referred as the most corrupt congressman in history, acknowledges that an endorsement would not do Gingrich any good.
