Landlord Explains “White Only” Sign

Landlord Jamie Hein says the sign by her apartment complex’s pool that says “white only” is “historical.”  (h/t Global Grind)

“I’m not a bad person,” said Jamie Hein of Cincinnati. “I don’t have any problem with race at all. It’s a historical sign.”

Yes,  it’s from 1931 Alabama, and it violates the Ohio Civil Rights Act. The Ohio Civil Rights Commission will hear the case in January. This comment won’t help her:

“I have to stick up for my white rights. It goes both ways.”
