Romney In 2007: Massachussetts Plan “Will Be A Model For The Nation”
In Tuesday night’s debate Mitt Romney insisted that his health plan was never meant to be anything more than a local plan for Massachusetts. But that is not what he said at the time. During a 2007 speech in Baltimore in 2007, Romney said, “I’m proud of what we’ve done,” he said. “If Massachusetts succeeds in implementing it, then that will be a model for the nation.” Turns out, it was.
