Last week, Michele Bachmann said, “Under President Bachmann you will see gasoline come down below $2 a gallon again.”

This reminds me of the ridiculous elections for class president in elementary school. Invariably, candidates would declare, “If you vote for me, I’ll put soda in the water fountains.”

And invariably, they won.
