If President Obama had invoked the 14th Amendment to prevent default, the House GOP likely would have begun impeachment hearings.  Apparently there are some who still want to impeach Obama.  However, for what they are not exactly sure.

At a town hall meeting yesterday, a Tea Party member urged Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) to bring impeachment proceedings against President Obama in the House. Burgess replied, “It needs to happen, and I agree with you it would tie things up…No question about that.” When asked to clarify, Burgess said he wasn’t sure what the proper charged to bring against Obama would be, but reiterated his support for such a move.

Proper charges, we don’t need no stinkin’ proper charges.  It is hard to find a better example of the destructive intentions and the lack of integrity of the House GOP than the fact that some of them would actually consider impeaching a president to obstruct him.
