Quote of the Day: Mitt Romney Goes Long

Guess Mitt Romney’s getting pretty serious about this nomination thing. While most of the press missed it, ThinkProgress noticed this blip in last night’s CNN Republican debate:

Every time you have an occasion to take something from the federal government and send it back to the states, that’s the right direction.

Was this in regard to the EPA or some other nefarious big government job killer? Nope. Mitt Romney wants to rid the US of FEMA. It would seem that the Federal government stepping in to help hurricane and tornado victims is “simply immoral.”  In fact: “It makes no sense at all.” Remember, folks, this is the guy all the pundits say won the debate.
