Ralph Lang drove to Madison, WI with the intention of killing an abortion doctor, and told police he was going to go to an abortion clinic in Milwaukee after that.

The complaint, filed in Dane County Circuit Court, charged Ralph W. Lang, 63, with attempted first-degree intentional homicide for allegedly attempting to kill an abortion doctor at Planned Parenthood in Madison…

Lang accidentally fired a bullet through the door of his room at Motel 6 on Wednesday night, then told Madison police of his plan to kill a doctor at the Planned Parenthood clinic on Thursday morning.

…after shooting the doctor in Madison, he was next going to go to an abortion center in Milwaukee.

Lang’s gun went off in his motel room after he pulled the trigger, not knowing it was loaded.

Lang told a Madison police officer at the Motel 6…that he had a gun “to lay out abortionists because they are killing babies,” according to the criminal complaint filed Thursday in U.S. District Court.

Lang said he planned on shooting the clinic’s doctor “right in the head,” according to the complaint. Asked if he planned to shoot just the doctor or nurses, too, Lang replied he wished he “could line them up all in a row, get a machine gun, and mow them all down,” the complaint said.
