Once again we have a conservative who professes love of the Constitution looking to disobey it. Speaking at a Christian high school in Iowa, Bachmann said she wants to remove the authority of judges to hear cases having to do with marriage equality. (via Think Progress)

“At the federal level with what are called article three courts, article three of the United States Constitution, we can limit the subject matter that justices can rule on. We have it within our authority to decide what judges can rule on and what they can’t. Any time the people speak, they say with one voice that marriage is one man, one woman. Why would we expect any different?”

Bachmann also says Senator Al Franken stole his election.

“That’s why an election was stolen in Minnesota, and yes, I will tell you, it was stolen. And Al Franken became the 60th senator to give Barack Obama a filibuster-proof majority in the United States Senate and that’s how he got ObamaCare. But for that stolen election, we would not have ObamaCare today.”

And she asserted how righteous she is; so righteous that she would get up at 5:30 in the morning, so hungry was she to hear God’s word.

“I hadn’t come out of a wild drug-addled life or anything like that, but it doesn’t matter. I was still a sinner and I knew it. And at that moment, I changed and it’s literally like the scripture says, that we become a new creation. … He put his mantle of righteousness on me and it changed my world forever. Again, I was 16 years of age and I received the holy spirit into my life at that time. … I set my alarm for 5:30 in the morning because I was so hungry for the word, that I wanted to read his word.”
