Sen Jon Kyl’s Excuse For False Claim About Planned Parenthood: Remark “Was Not Intented To Be” Factual

Arizona Senator Jon Kyl’s office released one of of the most amazing responses to try to defend an out-and-out lie. Kyl stated on the Senate floor that abortion is “well over 90%” of what Planned Parenthood does. The actual number is three percent, to which no federal dollars are delivered. T.J. Holmes read the statement from Kyl’s office explaining the senator’s comment while interviewing Planned Parenthood’s Judy Tabor.

HOLMES: We did call his office trying to ask what he was talking about there. And I just want to give it you verbatim here. It says, ‘his remark was not intended to be a factual statement, but rather to illustrate that Planned Parenthood, a organization that receives millions of dollars in taxpayer funding, does subsidize abortions.’
