Michele Bachmann told David Gregory on Meet the Press that she doesn’t want a government shutdown; only, she voted against the continuing resolution to keep funding the government because money contained therein goes to Planned Parenthood. (h/t Think Progress). Bachmann’s opposition to funding Planned Parenthood is based on her mistaken belief (or maybe she knows better) that none of those dollars go to fund abortions. The fact is, no government money going to Planned Parenthood is used for that purpose.
